What needed
solving
Elevate DMC runs structured matchmaking events where luxury hotels meet travel agencies for 30-minute slots. Before the platform, coordination happened over email: schedules were managed in spreadsheets, meeting links were sent manually, hotels had no day-of agenda, and agencies in different time zones had no single source of truth for when their meetings were. Every event cycle consumed days of ops work.
What we built
We built three distinct surfaces on a single Node.js + PostgreSQL backend. A public hotel directory lets agents browse participating hotels and request a time slot — no account needed. Agencies receive a magic link by email that opens their personal schedule in their local timezone with a one-tap Teams join button per meeting. Hotels get a QR code on their table badge; scanning it shows their agenda for the day — who is coming, at what time, with a Join Teams button. When the Elevate team confirms a meeting, Microsoft Graph API automatically creates a Teams meeting, extracts the join URL, saves it to the database, and sends confirmation emails to both parties.
